THREE GILBERT & SULLIVAN COMPANIES GIVE A CHARITY CONCERT TO PROMOTE THEIR JOINT SEASON:
Montreal, January 12, 2010
Hail! Unity, the coordinated concert between the Montreal West Operatic Society, the Lakeshore Light Opera and McGill Savoy Society will take place on Friday, January 22, 2010 at St. George's Anglican Church, at the corner of de la Gauchetière and Peel in downtown Montreal (Metro Bonaventure, across from Windsor Station) at 8:00 p.m.
Featuring highlights in choral format from each of the three productions being performed this year, Hail! Unity also offers the public an opportunity to purchase season tickets to the 2010 productions of The Pirates of Penzance (McGill Savoy Society), Iolanthe (Lakeshore Light Opera) and The Mikado (Montreal West Operatic Society) at a reception following the concert.
Tickets to Hail! Unity are $15.00 and $8.00 and may be purchased by calling the Lakeshore Light Opera box office (514 804-4900) or at the door.
Funds raised at the concert will be divided equally among the three groups for distribution to their usual charities.

Lakeshore Light Opera
Our Mission
For over 25 years, the proceeds of our production have gone to the Lakeshore General Hospital (a local hospital serving the West-Island community of Montreal), through the Hospital Foundation. Our annual donations, totaling $126,000, are used by the Hospital to purchase equipment not covered by its budget nor by Provincial grants.
