Lakeshore Light Opera, a non-profit community theatre group, performs a fully orchestrated Gilbert & Sullivan operetta once a year with profits going to the Lakeshore General Hospital (a local hospital serving the West-Island community of Montreal) via the
Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation. Our annual donations are used by the Foundation to purchase equipment not covered by the hospital’s budget nor by Provincial grants.

The Yeoman of the Guard

Set within the walls of the Tower of London, Colonel Fairfax escapes execution with the aid of the Sergeant of the Guard and his daughter. A wandering jester and his maid inadvertently get caught up in the plot and as the scheme begins to unravel, disaster looms. The usual Gilbert and Sullivan romance and comedy is mixed with blackmail and tragedy. The opera ends with two reluctant engagements and a broken-hearted jester.
